As an organisation, we passionately believe that access to high quality, inclusive and enriching arts experiences is the right of every child and vitally important to their development as individuals. Making and creating is a wonderfully intrinsic human behaviour, much like singing and dancing, we should never stop, regardless of how naturally ‘good’ or ‘creative’ we feel we are.
With the right support, the process of making Art is extremely rewarding, exhilarating and therapeutic. It helps us to understand the complexity of the world around us, explore and make sense of our emotions and helps us to communicate our ideas to others. With our support, students will develop a positive mindset to making Art, learn how to take creative risks and embrace all aspects of the creative process, including problem solving and dealing with perceived ‘mistakes’. We support and encourage all our students to make their own creative choices, placing greater emphasis on the process than the outcome.
It has been so disheartening to see that Arts subjects in schools are still under significant threat, despite the creative industries contributing a staggering £111 billion a year to the UK economy. Art and Design permeates every aspect of our lives, including; the clothes we wear, the houses we live in, the products we buy, the games we play and the shows we watch. The choice of Art and Design related careers are vast, varied and growing all the time, for example; fine art, games design, animation, graphic design, illustration, photography, architecture, concept art, special effects make-up and set design to name but a few.
There is more demand than ever for access to quality, stimulating and engaging art opportunities, thats where we can help. As a team of professional Art practitioners and Teachers we work with the local community directly to provide a Saturday Morning Art School, Home Education Art classes, adult classes, after school clubs, Arts Awards and GCSE/A Level Art and Design private tuition.
We support schools through offering exciting and inclusive daytime cross-curricular art workshops, after school Art clubs, Arts weeks, Arts Award courses, staff training and curriculum consultation.
The organisation was founded in 2012 by Nancy Cawte, an Art and Design teacher and moderator with over 15 years experience and now proudly boasts a fantastic team of phenomenally talented and passionate Arts facilitators.
