We had the loveliest time at the little artists gr We had the loveliest time at the little artists group today.

Every fortnight we explore a different formal element of Art in a very relaxed and open way, introducing a range of materials and processes as we go.

So far this term we have looked at lines; thick, thin, soft, wavy, frantic etc. Next we looked at shapes through the process of printmaking and today was all about texture.
It’s a lovely introduction to art, where children get to make alongside their parents and other families.

If you’d like to join us after half term please visit bookwhen.com/loveartandcraft to book.
NEW CLASS STARTING SOON!! This new fortnightly h NEW CLASS STARTING SOON!!

This new fortnightly home ed class will be a great way to explore the different elements of Art in a gentle and playful way.

This class is aimed at younger children aged 5-8, but if you have an older child that you feel might enjoy this approach please do join us.

Parents are required to stay and support their children and are welcome to join in and make work too!

In each session you will be guided through an exploration of a different formal element. Think of them like the building blocks of Art, all the different parts we might use to make a piece of Artwork, including; Line, Pattern, Texture, Shape, Form and Colour.

To give you an idea of our approach, in the Line session we might explore making lines in lots of different ways with different materials. Thick, thin, wavy, long, short, messy or soft lines, using pens, paints, pastels, inks and sticks. With eyes open and eyes closed, making lines to music, drawing lines that express feelings etc.

These explorations will not necessarily lead to a specific outcome. They are designed to build confidence in using a range of materials. To discover and understand how different material work together and to start to become familiar with the language of Art.

Our venue at Whipsnade Village Hall has plenty of space to park, with a small play area outside. It really is set in beautiful surroundings and has a lovely homely feel.

The sessions will run fortnightly on Mondays. 12-12:45. £6.50 per session. £19.50 for the course of three sessions. Sibling discount available.

Spaces are very limited. To book visit bookwhen.com/loveartandcraft
